The Towns of Quispamsis and Rothesay, in partnership with the Kennebecasis Regional Police Force (KRPF), have established a working group to examine the use of e-scooters and e-bikes throughout the Kennebecasis Valley.
The working group was formed in response to feedback from residents regarding these modes of transportation and the rules governing their use.
The group will review the various types of e-scooters and e-bikes, their capabilities, and the considerations associated with their safe operation. The goal is to develop consistent guidelines for speed, safety, and the use of roads, sidewalks, and trails across both communities.
The Towns of Quispamsis and Rothesay and the KRPF recognize the importance of balancing the use of these transportation options with the safety of all road users, pedestrians, and other members of the community.
Residents will be kept informed as the review progresses and further information becomes available.
The shared objective is to promote the safe and responsible use of e-scooters and e-bikes throughout the Kennebecasis Valley, helping ensure that our roads, sidewalks, and trails remain safe and accessible for everyone.
